Suspension Fork Guide

KG4 has a suspension fork at the front of the ebike, which comes equipped with adjustment and lockout mechanisms on the top of the forks. These controls allow riders to adjust the suspension to their liking.

Lockout Adjustment

  1. Locking out the fork creates a rigid fork fork, which can yield higher efficiency while pedaling and a more predictable ride depending on conditions such as terrain and cargo load.
  2. The lockout knob is on top of the right fork (on the rider’s right side when they’re on the bike). The knob, when adjusted, will lock the fork to be rigid.
  3. To lock the fork, turn the knob counterclockwise until it stops.

Preload Adjustment Knob

  1. The preload adjustment knob is on the left fork (on the rider’s left side).
  2. Use the preload adjustment knob to select the level of stiffness or softness of the fork while it is not locked out as a rigid fork.
  3. Adjusting the preload
    1. Ensure the lockout lever is unlocked.
    2. Turn the preload adjustment knob clockwise toward the “+” to stiffen (add resistance) or counterclockwise toward the “-” to soften (reduce resistance).
