How to Replace a Combo Display
If the Combo Display would break it can quickly be replaced with a spare part.
Tools needed:
- Set of Allen wrenches (3 mm)
- Flat-side cutters
- A few replacement zip ties (if necessary)
- The replacement Display from Keego
Remove the Combo Display
- Get the bike ready for maintenance. Turn off the bike, remove the battery, and press the Power button to discharge remaining power.
- Unplug the Combo Display. Trace the cable from the back of the Combo Display to the wiring harness and gently pull the connector out of the display without twisting. You may need to manually unwrap the cable cover to unplug the cable.
- Remove the Color Display. Use a 3mm Allen wrench to remove the bolts on the display clamp, and then remove from the handlebar.
- Complete
Install the New Combo Display
- Install the new Combo Display. Pass the display clamp over the handlebar center and use a 3 mm Allen wrench to tighten both bolts until secure. Adjust the display so it is visible to the rider.
- Connect the Combo Display. Connect the Combo Display connector to the wiring harness by lining up the internal notches and pins (and external arrows) and push the connector ends directly together, without twisting, to connect. Then trace the cable from the remote to the input on the back of the display and ensure the connector is fully inserted. Re-wrap the cable cover around the connectors as needed and replace any zip ties you may have needed to cut.
- Power on the ebike. Install the battery and press the Power button on the remote to power on the ebike. Verify the new display is working
